Guelph, ON – April 30, 2025 – Crozier has a longstanding relationship with the University of Guelph, emphasized by a shared commitment to fostering the growth and advancement of engineering students. One way the firm supports this mission is through the University of Guelph C.F. Crozier & Associates Inc. Scholarship fund.
Each year, this scholarship is awarded to an exceptional engineering student in recognition of their hard work and academic achievement. This year’s recipient is André Crunican, a third-year mechanical engineering student with a keen interest in both mechanical and agricultural engineering.
Growing up on a farm, André developed a passion for creating innovative solutions to the challenges he observed firsthand.
“In my future career, I would love to combine my agricultural and engineering experience to develop solutions for complicated farming problems. I’ve been seeing lots of examples of introducing robotics and automation onto farms, and I would love to be a part of that future,” André shared.

André’s involvement beyond the classroom reflects his diverse interests and dedication to learning. He serves as the Chassis and Structure CAD Lead for the Agriculture Technology Club, participates in the aerodynamics division of the Gryphon Racing Team, and is a member of Pixels to Pavement, a remote-controlled car design competition. André expressed that receiving this scholarship has given him the opportunity to fully pursue his academic and extracurricular goals without financial stress.
“Receiving the University of Guelph C.F. Crozier & Associates Inc. Scholarship made me feel supported by the engineering community and excited for the road ahead,” said André.
Many Crozier employees are proud University of Guelph alumni, including Katherine Rentsch, P.Eng., who recently received the Mid-Career Award from the School of Engineering. As the firm’s Private Services Manager, Katherine oversees the technical review and quality control of all our onsite sewage and private servicing projects.
Additional alumni include the firm’s president, Nick Mocan, P.Eng., an advocate for young talent with an eagerness to learn and apply innovative solutions at Crozier.
