Residences at Silvercreek

Last week our friends from Skyline Group of Companies broke ground on Residences at Silvercreek alongside Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Hon. Paul Calandra, Simcoe-Grey MPP Brian Saunderson, Collingwood Mayor Yvonne Hamlin, and other dignitaries and project partners.

“It’s been a long planning process,” says Saunderson. “It’s a very important step forward for us in this community because rental housing is a critical shortfall in this area.”

This purpose-built development project will bring 187 much-needed rental units to Collingwood, increasing the community’s rental unit supply by over 30%. It is expected that the apartments will be prepared for occupancy in about two years.

“This development is about meeting the need for rental housing in Collingwood, while at the same time promoting sustainability and community,” says Jason Castellan, CEO of Skyline.

Congratulations to the Skyline team on what promises to be a community-changing development.
