We could have told Profit Guide Magazine out-of-the-gate that Milton was an odds-on favourite to win. Still, there were high-five’s around our Milton office when we heard that the Town came in first as Canada’s Best Place for Business.
In the magazine’s first annual study for the distinction, 50 of the country’s largest municipalities were surveyed to find the ones with burgeoning markets, the lowest costs and the most amenable tax and regulatory regimes. That would be check, check, check!
Like so many businesses that choose this thriving municipality to call home, Crozier & Associates’ GTA office in Milton could be a poster-child for local success. Within two years of opening in 2009 we doubled our office space and early this year we tripled that again with a move to the High Point Business Park.
Yes, being at the hub of major transportation corridors with abundant developable lands and a country-topping 54% growth rate made Milton an ideal location to expand our engineering firm. But if we could add anything to the truism that location, location, location is everything when it comes to business success – it would be people, people, people.
It takes forward-thinking, collaborative people at every level of private and public engagement to steward the advantages of “location” into the kind of community growth and prosperity that supports business success. In our experience that’s what Milton does in spades. Congratulations!
