Earlier this month, the Milton Centre for the Arts held its annual Gala Celebration, which honoured Mayor Gord Krantz, who has the distinction of being Canada’s longest serving mayor. Several Crozier staffers joined over 450 guests who enjoyed performances by acclaimed Scottish-Canadian tenor, John McDermott, as well as speed-painter, Michael Israel. Known for his amazing artwork created in minutes, Mr. Israel proceeded to paint large canvases, of John Lennon and Albert Einstein, both of which were then auctioned with proceeds going to the local arts community.
“We have great respect and a lot of love to you Gord.” – Lisa Raitt, Conservative MP for Milton and host for the evening.
This annual gala event not only showcases talent in the Milton community, but offers the opportunity for guests to enjoy this state-of-the art theatre. Visit Milton Centre for the Arts for info on coming events.
