The Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race [2] is the largest student-run engineering competition in Canada. Originating in 1975, this annual event draws over 450 engineering students from universities across Canada, providing opportunities to apply and develop both technical design and teamwork skills, all the while participating in some friendly competition!
After countless hours of hard work and perseverance working with University of Guelph’s team conceiving and building “Barnyard Boggin’, two of our very own UG students, Kathryn Morris and Ian Ryter, competed in the 2017 Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race in February. They finished in 16th place out of 21 teams.
