[1]Crozier Collingwood participated for the first time as a group, donating blood in support of Canadian Blood Services. To re-energize those who signed up to give blood following their donation, staff held a cookie bake-off on the afternoon of the blood drive.
Cookie bakers vied for the inaugural Crozier Collingwood Chef’s Hat by baking and submitting samples of their cookie recipe fav’s. Entries included apricot pecan oatmeal cookies, chocolate sugar cookies, peanut butter chocolate chip and chocolate avocado cookies, as well as red velvet white chocolate chip cookies. Cookie chefs Darrell Fuller, Maddie Ferguson and Andrea Mitchell tied for the “tastiest cookie” prizes, sharing prizes between them.
[2]Canadian Blood Services conducts community donation drives six times per year in Collingwood. The next blood donation event will be held at the Collingwood Legion (490 Ontario Street) on December 14th, and we hope to have an even larger group participating, including friends and family.
