It’s Friday of a long weekend, which means one thing in #CrozierMilton… Today we’re hosting another BBQ for a Cause!
On Friday afternoons prior to summer long weekends, the management team supplies halal, veggie, and beef burgers (and all of the fixings) to the Milton office to raise funds for local charities. Milton team members each bring a donation to take part in the BBQ, and all funds are then presented to a representative of the charity.
Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC) is this month’s BBQ for a Cause charity of choice. MCRC is a not-for-profit, multi-service organization that provides services to children and families of Milton and the surrounding communities. They provide early learning programs at minimal or no cost to participants. MCRC’s parent resource library offers a variety of resources and workshops including access to parent educators. Through their Licensed Child Care programs, MCRC provides quality early learning and care at an affordable cost and subsidy is available for eligible families. Collaboratively with Halton Region Children Services, MCRC operates The Halton Resource Connection, which provides training, support and resources to parents, caregivers, individuals and organizations working with children and youth.
Our bellies and donation bucket are full as a result of the generosity (and appetites) of our Milton team. We can’t wait until our next BBQ for a Cause, but until then, have a happy and safe long weekend!
