Jim Firth has over 35 years of experience in land development engineering and a specialized background in business planning. He is a licensed Professional Engineer through the Professional Engineers of Ontario. Jim is a partner of Crozier and was appointed as Vice President in 2022. As Vice President, he leads Crozier’s business development strategies and practices, as well as supports the launch of new key service lines and geographic expansion.
Jim started his career at a large consulting engineering company and, through his tenure, oversaw the design, construction, and operation of major municipal infrastructure systems. His role progressed to leading a service sector, becoming office branch manager, and part of the first Presidents selection committee. Following this venture and prior to joining Crozier in 2007, he provided business planning, project management and engineering services as a consultant within the land development and golf industry. Jim also created a Global Positioning System (GPS) survey team providing topographic surveys to land development and the aggregate industry as well as state-of-the-art GPS machine control for earth moving contractors.
Jim oversees a wide variety of land development projects at Crozier and has played a key role in the growth of the company’s Toronto and Milton offices and has been instrumental in establishing a business development team.
With a proven track record and a network of established industry relationships, Jim brings expertise in the evaluation of complex projects, allocation of resources and understanding of the land approval process. He continues to provide hands-on mentorship to clients and staff while directing multiple project teams to successful outcomes.
