Crozier completed a Capital Assessment Study (30-year engineering and financial life-cycle projection) for this 35-acre Commercial Village Association within the Blue Mountain Recreational Resort Development. The Study included building and condition assessment of various site amenities including indoor/outdoor recreational facilities, community and commercial spaces, aquatic centre, underground parking, chairlifts, outdoor ponds, trails and entertainment areas and involved civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and building science disciplines.
Challenges: Provided multi-disciplinary assessment with client sensitivity and a compressed schedule. Prepared and incorporated major capital improvement as part of new ownership expectations.
Benefits: Provided valuable insight, via an asset condition and performance review, regarding which capital improvements should be vacant to ensure sustainable and well managed operation of resort common areas.
Timeline: Exceeded timeline and budget expectations for all parties involved in the asset transaction.
