Congratulations to each and every one of us!!!! We have done it. We are nearing completion of one of the largest projects ever undertaken by our First Nation. The addition of our own secondary school, complete with shops, new style classroom pods, a computer lab and an oversized gymnasium will provide an outstanding learning experience for all our high school students.
This project has taken 16 months to complete from our initial meetings with the membership in May 2012 to the revealing of the school concept in July 2012 to the selection of Errington Home Hardware and Construction as the contractor in September 2012 and the start of construction.
Over the next two months there are a number milestones that you will need to be aware of as we head towards the grand opening of the building later this fall: Opening of the Shops – September 10th 2013; Opening of the Classrooms and Administrative Offices – September 30th 2013; Opening of the Gymnasium – October 8th 2013; Secondary School Grand Opening – November 15th 2013 at 3:30 PM
