Junior BIM Designer, Structural

We are looking for a college graduate from either an Architectural Technology/Technician or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician program.

Under direction of intermediate and senior structural designers, you will be preparing structural drawings and specifications for a wide variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

This role is an integral part of our team and will assist in the growth of the company.


  • Design and preparation of structural design drawings for a variety of building structures, including low to mid-rise residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, and other miscellaneous structural applications.
  • Preparation of drawings in both AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Assist with redlines/revisions for in-progress and completed designs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and other applicable standards and codes.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and external consultants) from initial project design to project completion.
  • On occasion, attend coordination meetings with external consulting teams.
  • Attend site prior to as well as during construction to record conditions and progress of construction, as required.
  • Prepare field review reports as required.
  • Attend sites (from grass/mud fields to existing facilities) and if required, work safely from heights (required training would be provided by Crozier).


  • A two (2) or a three (3) year diploma in either Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering Technology.
  • High level of proficiency using AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Registered with or in the process of registering with Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) or Associate of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO).
  • Well-developed knowledge of Ontario Building Code.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with business software such as Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise effective judgement when handling changing needs and situations.
  • Drive to continue to improve existing knowledge base and skillsets.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and flexibility to accommodate deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
