[Waterloo, ON — November 12, 2025] SWR is happy to welcome Crozier Consulting Engineers (Crozier) as the newest member of the Impact Network, joining as a Pledging Organization.
Crozier is a multidisciplinary consulting firm in the land development industry that combines technical expertise with genuine collaboration, helping build communities where people and projects can thrive, now and for the future.
“As engineers and consultants in the land development industry, we play a critical role in shaping resilient, future-ready communities,” said Kevin Fergin, P.Eng., Vice President, Development at Crozier. “It’s our responsibility to lead by example when it comes to environmental accountability and sustainable growth, and this partnership with SWR helps us to reduce our environmental footprint while turning our commitment to sustainability into measurable action.”
“Crozier is demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and we are proud to be now working with them to measure, track, and plan to reduce their impact through their business operations,” said Tova Davidson, Executive Director of SWR. “As members of the building and development industry, they know firsthand how important this work is, and how impactful it can be to integrate this work into good business practices. We are excited to support Crozier through this work.”
As part of its participation in SWR’s Impact Network, Crozier has developed baseline greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) across all office locations and set a reduction target of 20% by 2034. By joining a network of organizations committed to sustainability leadership, Crozier will collaborate with SWR to track progress, share best practices, and embed sustainable decision-making into its operations.
As part of its commitment to climate leadership and innovation, Crozier is actively contributing to a groundbreaking research initiative led by the University of Waterloo’s Ecohydrology Research Group. The three-year project, “Adaptive Management of Green Stormwater Infrastructure to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Urban Watersheds”, brings together academia, government, and industry to explore transformative approaches to urban sustainability. Crozier’s involvement in this research program reinforces its position as a forward-thinking firm, leveraging science-based collaboration to inform practice, advance low-carbon infrastructure, and shape resilient communities. The commitment to GHG research and real reduction reflects Crozier’s belief that responsible growth and environmental accountability go hand in hand, and that industry leadership includes helping clients and partners navigate the path toward more sustainable communities. Through this partnership, Crozier continues to integrate sustainability into both its business practices and the work it delivers across Ontario’s land development sector.
