June 24, 2017
This June marks the 20th anniversary of the Wines of the World event, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Palgrave. The June 24th event at the Caledon Pan Am Equestrian Park in the village of Palgrave promises a heavy W.O.W. factor!
Drawing close to 1,000 people, the 2016 event offered a relaxing, fun night of great food, socializing … and wine tasting. Money raised will support Rotary’s youth, community and international initiatives. For Jim Firth (Associate), the Rotary cause is “near and dear” to him as a past president of the Rotary Club of Palgrave as well as prior event chair. Crozier Milton “dream team” servers, pictured above, are excited to be a part of this inspirational charitable event.
The wine list for this year’s event includes over 50 varieties, spanning 15 countries as well as a number of local craft beers and ciders. Themed towards Canada’s 150th birthday, an amazing selection of nationally-themed appetizers will pair with your favourite wines and other beverages … from Manitoba perogies, Alberta beef sliders, P.E.I. mussels, and Atlantic shrimp.
