Farewell to our Students

[1]

It’s never easy saying goodbye… especially to all of our outstanding co-op students.

This year, our Collingwood and Milton offices had co-ops, interns, and summer students from various Universities, who all helped advance the success of our company. Their contributions ranged from ensuring large submissions got out the door on time, sitting in on design meetings with Clients, completing changes for Site Plan Approvals, or even running a simple errand in town.

Here at Crozier, we love to see the growth of our students, especially when they return for a second co-op segment.

In Collingwood, this summer we had 3 returning students, all of whom coincidentally came from the University of Guelph. Haley Birrell primarily helped out our Land Development department, and became the essential coordinator for one of our development projects near Bradford West Gwillimbury. Erin Hanley returned to help the Traffic department; running synchro models and trip generation analyses, and now continues with her Math degree. Nic Sproule returned as a summer student to help out the Construction Department, and spent many hours conducting lot grading surveys and red lining drawings.

From Western University, Justin L’Abbe finished his 18-month internship, and became a crucial part of our Land Development team. He worked with various high-end Clients, completed many construction certificates, and will also be returning as a full-time EIT in the Spring.

Mackenzie Ciccarelli joined us as a summer student, due to his avid interest in Mechanical Engineering. He starts his first semester at Sheridan this month.

Both our Collingwood and Milton offices were stacked with students from the University of Guelph. Rebecca Beutel joined our Water Resource group and became our key water modelling contact. Janna Ormond also joined our Water Resource group, and will be returning for a second co-op segment in the Winter. Isabelle Cleroux worked closely with our Land Development department; she was involved in reviewing and completing comment responses to various agencies, and completing floodplain mapping through HEC-RAS.  Maggie Jasek joined our Water Resource group, and became efficient in preparing ECA applications. Maggie will join our Toronto office in the Spring for second co-op segment. And finally, Jacob Martin; he worked closely with our Land Development group, helping review design standards, coordinating tender packages, and became well versed with lot grading surveys.

We wish all of our wonderful students the best of luck back at school! We are so proud of you!
