Belterra Estates is a planned community of over 1800 residences in Alliston that was developed by the owners of the Nottawasaga Inn Resort. Crozier & Associates was retained to consolidate, refine and gain approval for traffic engineering that had been ongoing for ten years. With the first phase of development nearing completion, immediate resolution of external roadway improvements for the Ministry of Transportation was critical to allow for continued home building.
It was quickly discovered that the Ministry did not have sufficient right-of-way at certain areas of Highway 89 to fit the necessary road widening and intersection improvements. Crozier & Associates pursued alternative design options and achieved consensus to resolve the road alignment.
