Tanglewood at Cranberry Village
Cost Savings Realized

In an effort to minimize upfront costs for the first phase (107 units) of an 850 unit master planned golf course resort in Collingwood, Crozier & Associates successfully realized major cost savings through the re-evaluation of design criteria and use of innovative servicing design. This value-engineering exercise led to the elimination of a regional sewage pump station, long predicted for the development, representing a cost savings of $0.75 M. Other innovations included the use of alternative storm water management practices which eliminated storm sewers and the need for a storm water management pond. This resulted in major cost savings in infrastructure, reduction in fill costs and an increase in net developable area.

Sierra Building Group is proceeding with servicing of Phase 1, with occupancies anticipated in 2008.
