Georgian Peaks Club retained Crozier & Associates to design and administer the construction of the upgrade to its snow making land line. The land line upgrade was the second in a three phase program to increase the snow making capabilities of the Club.
Crozier & Associates designed the 800 m length of 400 mm watermain to specifications meeting projected pressures exceeding 300 psi. The design followed the alignment of the Georgian Trail, requiring close public relations with the Georgian Trail Association and local residents.
Following detailed design and tendering, construction proceeded over the months of January/February 2006 and was completed on budget and ahead of schedule.
The new waterline will complement an upgraded shoreline-based pump house providing increased snowmaking capabilities to Georgian Peaks beginning with the 06/07 ski season.
