Faced with the prospect of an expiring Permit To Take Water, Credit Valley Golf & Country Club retained Crozier & Associates to develop a long term water management plan which could be supported by the Ministry of Environment and Credit Valley Conservation.
Historically, the 77 year old golf course relied on water from the Credit River as an “on-demand” basis. With the advent of new provincial guidelines concerning water taking and the onus on habitat protection, Crozier was required to revisit the Club’s water taking strategy. This led to successfully securing a 10 year water taking permit from the Credit River and the introduction of a modest “balancing pond” which has been integrated into the golf course with the assistance of Graham Cooke, renowned golf course architect.
