Retained by the Camperdown Developers Group, Crozier & Associates undertook a “value engineering” review of infrastructure upgrades to municipal water, wastewater and roadways being front-end financed by the Developer Group. These works were identified by the municipality as Schedule B activities per a Municipal Class Environmental process.
Following our critical review of the 3.5 kilometer extent of the trunk sewer proposed from Thornbury to the Camperdown Service Area, and challenging original assumptions and positions that had been established for well over 10 years, our recommendations led to significant design changes to the project. The design revisions included: the relocation of a proposed regional pump station, elimination of deep gravity sewer and bedrock excavations and reductions in the overall length of infrastructure. As a result, the front-end financing obligations of the Developers were significantly reduced on the $12M overall project budget. The project construction occurred in 2005/2006.
Crozier & Associates continues to represents the Developers’ Group as Project Managers.
